Sous Vide Sausage is unbelievably juicy and tender, and it cooks perfectly every time with no fear of overcooking!

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1/2 cup beer or Apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Pepper (Optional)
  • Onions (Optional)

  1. Fill a zipper-top or vacuum sealer bag halfway with sausage, beer, and salt. Seal the bag with a vacuum sealer or gently press the bag down to the bottom of the filled sous vide container, displacing the air and quickly closing the top before the water gets in.
  2. Set the water temperature to 140°F (juicy and soft sausage that is still slightly pink), 150°F (firmer but still very juicy and slightly pink sausage), or 160°F (firmer but still very juicy and slightly pink sausage) (firmest sausage but still plenty juicy).
  3. Cook for up to 4 hours in a sous vide water bath.
  4. Remove the sausage from the bag and set it aside. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and sear the sausage on both sides until browned.
  5. Serve and have fun!
