Description
A tangy, slightly smoky sandwich spread made with mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and whole-grain mustard. Arugula is a peppery salad green with a pungent flavor. If you prefer, you can substitute your favorite lettuce.
Ingredients
Scale
- Spray cooking oil
- 2 boneless ribeye steaks (8 ounces), trimmed
- 12 tsp kosher salt
- 12 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp. fat-free mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard (whole grain)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 8 (1-ounce) slices toasted crusty whole-grain bread
- 1 cup arugula greens
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Spray the pan with cooking spray. Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper. Cook the steaks in the pan for 4 minutes on each side, or until done to preference. Allow the steaks to rest for 5 minutes. Thinly slice steaks diagonally across the grain.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Spread 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise mixture on each of the 4 slices of bread; divide the steak evenly among the bread slices. Top each serving with 1/4 cup arugula and 1 slice of bread.
