Description

This delicious Dried Beef Cheese Ball is a traditional holiday appetizer that can be served at any time of year. This quick and easy recipe is creamy and salty, and it only takes 10 minutes to prepare. It’s an old-school dish to serve when entertaining, and you’ll love how easy it is!


Ingredients

  • 2 ) 8 oz. packages cream cheese softened
  • 1 ) 5 oz. jar dried beef chopped (you’ll use 1/2 to 3/4 of the jar)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
  • salt To taste. Remember the dried beef is already super salty!

Instructions

  1. Cream cheese should be softened.
  2. In your stand mixer, combine the cream cheese, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce and beat until fluffy.
  3. Chop the salty dried beef and green onions, and shred the cheddar cheese (if you didn’t buy it already shredded to save time).
  4. Mix in the dried beef, green onions, and cheddar cheese with the stand mixer.
  5. If the cheese ball mixture requires additional seasoning, season with salt and pepper.
  6. Scoop out the dried beef cheese ball mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap.

Notes

This dried beef cheese ball recipe is also delicious when coated in chopped pecans! Simply chop up pecans if you want to serve it that way (or buy pecan pieces). Fill a shallow dish with the nuts, then roll the chilled cheese ball in the nuts to adhere.
