The grilled bourbon steaks are bursting with smoky bourbon flavor. Rib-eye steaks (or any cut of meat) are marinated in a bourbon and Worcestershire mixture before being grilled to achieve a nice char.


  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 4 thick-cut boneless ribeye steaks


  1. In a large ziptop bag, combine the first 7 ingredients. Steaks should be added. Coat the other side. Refrigerate for 4 to 12 hours, turning bag every now and then.
  2. Remove the steaks from the bag and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high. Grill the steaks for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. Allow for a 5-minute rest before serving.


Use a meat thermometer when cooking steak and keep in mind how you want it cooked: rare, medium rare, medium, or well done.
