Description
Beef and Beans is a simple and inexpensive stovetop meal that you may recall from your childhood. Its simple ingredients and simple preparation make it an ideal meal for a busy night. Serve with a salad for a full meal, or with cornbread on the side.

- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 28 oz. baked beans
- ½ C. water
- salt and pepper to taste
- dash of liquid smoke if desired
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion.
- Remove the fat.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients and cook for 45 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Notes
If you have cooked ground beef and/or onions in the freezer, use them to expedite this recipe.
